Existing forest inventory

The timber harvesting land base in the Lillooet TSA is mainly comprised of stands of lodgepole pine and Douglas-fir; also present are subalpine fir (also known as balsam), spruce, western redcedar, and hemlock stands. The timber harvesting land base has almost 80 percent mature timber as defined by minimum harvestable ages (i.e. 80 years for lodgepole pine and 120 years for all other species).
